Previously, self-adhesive vinyls required a chemical reaction to create a bond. Unfortunately, those chemical bonds often required the use of volatile chemicals, and also resulted in residues (sometimes even damage) on the surface after the self-adhesive material was removed.
ClingZ®is manufactured using a proprietary process to create a permanent, non-static electrical charge in a polymer plastic substrate so it actually forms an electrical bond to the surface to which it is adhered. And because ClingZ® can support a variety of print processes, it has unmatched versatility and creativity compared to traditional pressure-sensitive and static cling vinyl products.
Unlike
static cling vinyl, ClingZ®can
stick to wood surfaces – such as doors or walls, and to cold glass surfaces,
which makes it a great alternative for beverage cooler POP displays. Like
static cling vinyl, ClingZ®
is
available in White or Clear polypropylene substrates.

Recommended Guidelines For Graphic Design Of ClingZ®
Generally, larger-sized applications work better for ClingZ®
than very small pieces. It is recommended that the smallest size print
for a static (non-moving) application is 3 x 5 inches (7.6 x 12.7 cm) and
for a dynamic (moving) application (i.e. door) is 8.5 x 11 inches (21.6
x 28 cm).
In
addition, your application may be the first time ClingZ®
has been applied to your specific surface. It is recommended that you
test a sample in the application to confirm the product will stick to the
surface in the environment it will be used. ClingZ®
can be kiss-cut or dye-cut, but long thin protuberances should be avoided.
ClingZ®
can be tiled to create very large images. ClingZ®
will also stick to itself so that clear ClingZ®
can be used for overlays.
