At Lange Graphics we have always provided our customers with the latest in printing technology. Starting in 1990, we installed the Purup Film Imaging System, backed up by a fully staffed, highly professional digital division with its own dedicated customer service department. In 1996, we installed the first Kodak Approval Digital Proofing System in Denver. We also added UV-coating capabilities. Then, in 1997, Lange Graphics was the first printer between Chicago and Los Angeles to offer CREO Computer-to-Plate printing.

By 2000, Lange Graphics recognized the need to provide short-run, reasonably priced, four-color-process digital printing. The Graphic Arts Technical Foundation 2001 Technical Forecast states, “Digital color printers will dominate over the next decade.” They go on to say, “...variable-imaging digitalography is expected to explode over the next 10 to 15 years, achieving an almost 30% market share.” The January 2001 Digital Output says, “The domestic market for digital publication...will grow from $11.4 billion to $20.2 billion in 2005” (an increase of 77%). To service this increasing need, we at Lange Graphics chose the HP Indigo 5500 Digital Press.
